Mr. Lockett has been the owner and principal partner in Land Images, Landscape Architects since 1977. During that time period he has been responsible for coordination of planning, design, construction documentation, and construction services for a diversity of projects ranging in scale from Regional Parks and Universities to historical renovation of residential and small scale institutional projects.

Mr. Lockett has served as Master Open Space Planner and Landscape Architect for California Institute of Technology for the past 24 years at Land Images and five years prior to that as a part of a previous association, and for Loyola Marymount University since 1978.

In recognition of his significant contributions to the profession, both as an educator and in terms of his portfolio of executed works, Mr. Lockett was invested as a fellow in the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1994.

In 1995, Mr. Lockett was appointed by Governor Wilson to a four year term as one of three professional members of the California State Board of Landscape Architects.

Mr. Lockett is a member of the Teaching Faculty in the Landscape Architecture Department at UCLA Extension which provides a certified four year professional curriculum for approximately 140 students. He has been associated with the program since its inception in 1977 as a design instructor. He has been Faculty Chair, Head of the Design Subcommittee, and from 1986 until 1994, served as Head of the Landscape Architecture Program.

Mr. Lockett was graduated from California State Polytechnic University in Pomona in 1971 with a degree in Landscape Architecture. Concurrent with Landscape Architecture, he had a minor in Urban and Regional Planning and took elective courses in Architecture at San Luis Obispo. Postgraduate study was done in Environmental Science and Geography at Cal State Dominguez Hills and in Resort Planning and Golf Course Design at Harvard University. Mr. Lockett also has taken courses in passive Solar Site Planning and Design from the University of Minnesota.

Mr. Williams has been the Principal in charge of project development for Land Images, Landscape Architects since joining the firm in 1979. His responsibilities include conceptual and detail sitework design, consultant coordination, oversight of all construction documentation and monitoring of construction installation.

During his tenure with the firm, he has been responsible for over 50 million dollars in landscape site improvements at six High Schools, four Universities, over 50 Commercial projects, and several Park and Recreational areas.

Mr. Williams has also served on the faculty in the Landscape Architecture Extension program at UCLA. teaching Planting Design, Methods and Materials of Construction, and Construction Drawing.

Ms. Powell has an extensive background in the fine arts and horticulture, allowing her to develop landscape designs which are truly interdisciplinary.

Her involvement with landscape design and horticulture began in 1970, working with the Barnitz Nursery in Santa Barbara, California. Prior to joining Land Images, Ms. Powell was affiliated with Katherine Spitz Associates, Landscape Architects, where she participated in all phases of project development, from design and drawing through project management and construction observation. Ms. Powell specialized in planting design for residential, commercial, and institu-tional landscapes.

Ms. Powell has been a Designer for Land Images, Landscape Architects, since joining the firm in 1998. Her responsibilities include conceptual and detail sitework design, planting design, project management, consultant coordination, and monitoring of construction installation.

During her tenure with the firm she has been involved in a wide range of projects, including site renovations for the historic California Club in downtown Los Angeles; streetscape improvements for Vermont Avenue near Exposition Park; and Hesse Park Trails, a walking and hiking trail sys-tem for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes covering seventeen acres of environmentally sensitive coastal hills.

She brings to Land Images a strong commitment to creation of site-specific landscapes which emphasize the role of plant materials in supporting the intellectual intention of the landscape.

RYAN DRNEK, ASLA - LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT

Mr. Drnek has been a Project Manager for Land Images, Landscape Architects, since joining the firm in 2003 and has been involved with a wide variety of public and private projects, including Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area Lake improvements, Griffith Park Synthetic Soccer Fields, and Loyola High School.

Mr. Drnek has an extensive horticultural background and has worked in all phases of the nursery industry. He is also currently donating design time to Habitat for Humanity Greater Los Angeles for new single-family developments in the City of Los Angeles.
